Leaving Oregon

This is my last day in America for two months, so I have decided to spend it with my close family and friends. We had a BBQ early today with good food and conversations. My packing is still in progress with some laundry and more preparing yet to do for my early morning flight. The excitement is building because its my first trip out of the states! I will be going to train in the javelin over in Oslo, Norway. My fairly new friend Magnus from Norway has offered to put up with me for two months. He is discus thrower in Norway and has been doing very well lately throwing a new PR of over 52 meters. We will have a wonderful time together and share many great memories I hope! Be praying for me and my travels!

  1. Jesse, I hope that you have a pleasant flight. The best way to handle the time change is to not sleep until it is time for everyone there to sleep. Get on their schedule right when you arrive. It will be hard the first day, not to sleep at all, but you will be fine the next day.

  2. Jesse, we will definitely be praying for you. We could not be more excited for you and this opportunity. God has something really special in mind for you. Have a great time and say hi to Norway for us. I have to admit that I am somewhat envious. Norway is a place I've always wanted to visit. It's on my list of a six month European tour I've dreamed about for quite a few years. Take lots of pictures.
